I currently use Photoshop CS, but there are other programs you can use =) I have always used adobe photoshop programs, so its just what i'm comfortable with. There are several free trials on the adobe website, this could help you find what kind you'd like to use =) There are several tutorials on this site that help loads when you start out manipulating, i check them out frequently to get insite on other styles =)
I hope I helped! If you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask!
good luck with your manipulations!

=) it takes time to fully grasp any software, and I still haven't grasped every concept of photoshop, I use just the basic tools, and even that took me a while to get comfortable with! What I would suggest is using free trials of different photo editing software to find which one suits you best, if you do a search on photo editing software trials, thaat would be a good start =) As far as adobe programs such as photoshop, they always have tutorials on basic training, which is a huge help when you just start out. =) I think thats the best advice i can give you on this matter :aww: goodluck with it! I hope you have fun!
